This document states the terms and conditions ("Terms") upon which htmldocs ("we" or "us") will provide its document generation and typesetting services to you. These Terms constitute a contractual agreement between you and us. By using our services, including but not limited to building document templates, generating PDFs, or accessing our documentation, you express your understanding and acceptance of these Terms.
1. Service Description
htmldocs provides a document generation toolkit that includes:
- Building document templates using React components and JSX syntax
- Generating professional-quality PDFs with precise typesetting
- Real-time preview capabilities with hot-reloading
- Component sharing and style management for consistent branding
- Access to documentation and support resources
2. Grant of Use
- We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use htmldocs for creating and generating documents, subject to these Terms and any applicable subscription limitations.
- This license includes the right to use our components, documentation, and APIs for document generation purposes.
- This grant is terminable by us at will for any reason and at our sole discretion, with or without prior notice. Upon termination, we may delete or deactivate your account and access to the service.
3. Intellectual Property
- The htmldocs toolkit, including all components, documentation, and source code (excluding third-party dependencies) is owned by and/or licensed to us.
- You retain all rights to the documents and templates you create using htmldocs. However, you may not redistribute or resell the htmldocs toolkit itself.
- Our standardized components and code are protected by copyright and may only be used as part of the htmldocs service.
4. User Content
- You retain all rights to the documents, templates, and components you create using htmldocs.
- You are responsible for ensuring you have the necessary rights to any content, images, or data you use in your documents.
- We do not claim ownership of your documents or templates, but you grant us limited rights to process and generate them as part of providing the service.
5. Usage Restrictions
- You agree not to exceed any API rate limits or usage quotas
- You agree not to reverse engineer the htmldocs toolkit
- You agree not to create competing document generation services using our code
- You agree not to use the service for generating unlawful or harmful content
- You agree not to share your account credentials or API keys
6. Fees and Payment
- We offer various subscription tiers with different usage limits and features
- Payments are processed securely through Stripe
- Subscriptions will automatically renew unless cancelled
- Usage beyond your subscription tier may incur additional charges
- Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis
7. Copyright and Open Source

8. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS-IS" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY. WHILE WE STRIVE FOR HIGH AVAILABILITY AND RELIABILITY, WE DO NOT GUARANTEE UNINTERRUPTED ACCESS OR PERFECT DOCUMENT GENERATION RESULTS.
9. Limitation of Liability
IN NO EVENT SHALL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF HTMLDOCS, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ERRORS IN DOCUMENT GENERATION OR SERVICE INTERRUPTIONS.
10. Legal Disputes
- These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States of America
- You agree to submit to the jurisdiction of courts in the United States
- You waive any right to a trial by jury
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of htmldocs following such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the modified Terms.
